Role Overview
As a Mid-Market Account Executive, you’ll drive the acquisition and growth of mid-market customers across the UK. This pivotal role is critical to Cognism’s expansion, requiring you to deliver value to commercial prospects, collaborate across functions, and exceed revenue targets in a high-growth SaaS environment.
Key Challenges & Opportunities
- Own Your Territory: Develop and execute a go-to-market (GTM) strategy for the UK mid-market, collaborating with Sales Development to identify, engage, and convert prospects into revenue.
- Own the Sales Cycle: Lead end-to-end sales efforts—from outbound prospecting and strategy to tailored demos and contract negotiation—while consistently surpassing mid-market quotas.
- Strengthen Cross-Functional Impact: Partner seamlessly with Sales Development, Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, and Product teams to create cohesive customer journeys.
- Champion UK GTM Strategy: Shape and refine Cognism’s UK mid-market GTM approach, ensuring alignment with prospect needs, market competitiveness, and commercial success.
- Coachability & Growth Mindset: Actively seek feedback, shadow peers, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and performance improvement.
- Own Forecasting: Provide accurate pipeline insights to sales leadership, supporting data-driven planning and target achievement.

Requirements & Expectations
To excel in this role, you must:
- Proven SaaS Sales Success: Minimum of 2 years as a quota-carrying Account Executive in a high-performing SaaS environment, with a record of exceeding targets.
- Gravitas & Presentation Skills: A confident communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels (from executives to end-users).
- Agile Mindset in a Fast-Growing Team: Adapt quickly, embrace change, and thrive in a high-growth, scale-up environment.
- Active Listener & Pain Point Uncoverer: Skilled in identifying prospect challenges and tailoring messaging for maximum relevance.
- Collaborative Partner: Comfortable operating across teams (Sales Dev, Marketing, RevOps, etc.) to achieve collective objectives.
- Organised & Accountable: Demonstrate strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline.
- Fluent in English: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills—essential for interactions at all levels.
