What You'd Be Doing in This Role
Our Account Executives work closely with customers to understand their goals and show them how Canva can help their whole business create and collaborate at scale. As a Mid-Market Account Executive, you'll focus on the DACH region, running a high-velocity, end-to-end sales cycle with a strong focus on new logo attainment.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- You'll own a targeted book of German-speaking mid-market prospects and run outbound sales activity to identify, engage, and convert new business.
- You'll run a full sales cycle from first outreach to close, using the SPICED methodology to qualify opportunities and uncover real customer value.
- You'll build account plans that are grounded in a data-driven read of the market, translating those plans into targeted, day-to-day sales activity.
- You'll work closely with your manager and senior Account Executives to sharpen your discovery, pitch, and negotiation skills as you build toward more complex deals.
- You'll keep accurate, up-to-date records of pipeline, forecasts, and customer interactions in Salesforce.
- You'll collaborate with Sales & Success, Marketing, and Product to keep the customer experience seamless from first conversation through to close.
- You'll stay close to trends in the DACH mid-market so you can speak credibly to what's changing in your customers' businesses.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
