Job Title: Mid-Weight Creative (Maternity Cover) at LOOKFANTASTIC
About the Role:
This maternity cover role is ideal for a Mid-Weight Creative with exceptional taste, strong visual judgement, and a sharp eye for detail. You’ll know how to transform a clear creative concept or brief into impactful executed content across photography, video, and graphic design, playing a key role in shaping creative from concept through to execution.
Responsibilities:
Creative Execution & Art Direction
- Lead and support art direction across campaigns and content, including stills and video.
- Translate creative direction into clear visual frameworks for:
- Shoots
- Content capture
- Graphic systems
- Asset rollout
- Ensure creative concepts are executed with consistency, clarity, and strong visual hierarchy.
- Apply graphic design principles confidently across layouts, typography, and composition.
- Work closely with motion and video teams to ensure stills and moving-image feel cohesive.

Content Translation & Application
- Shape how ideas are expressed across:
- Website
- Social media
- Paid media
- CRM
- In-store or virtual merchandising (VM), where required
- Bring a strong understanding of how creative needs to flex between formats without losing impact.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner closely with Creative Leads, Video Editors, Production, Content, and Marketing teams.
- Provide clear creative direction and feedback to designers and junior creatives.
- Support consistency and quality across multiple work streams and timelines.
- Step in to guide decisions when direction needs clarifying.
Brand & Taste Leadership
- Act as a guardian of LOOKFANTASTIC’s visual identity and tone.
- Bring a strong point of view on graphic application, layout, and styling.
- Stay across trends in art direction, content, and fashion/beauty visual culture.
- Push for work that feels elevated, considered, and culturally relevant—without overcomplicating.
Requirements & Skills
You’ll need:
- Proven art direction experience with a creative or design background.
- Comfort working across stills, video, and graphic systems.
- Confidence in translating ideas into executable creative frameworks.
- Highly collaborative, organised, and calm under pressure.
- A hands-on approach while supporting a wider team.
- Strong background in graphic design and art direction.
- Expertise in layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience working within established brand systems.
- Confidence in presenting ideas and giving direction to others.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
