About the Role
MBDS is seeking a talented Mid-Weight Interior Designer to join our Design Studio Team and support high-end hospitality and residential projects. You’ll collaborate with Senior Designers, contribute to concept development, manage day-to-day design tasks, and take ownership of your workload across all project stages.
Please note: This position is open only to candidates who are currently London-based and have the right to work in the UK. MBDS does not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop concept designs based on client briefs and Senior Designer direction
- Conduct design and material research; support FF&E selection
- Produce drawings and presentations across all phases (CD–CA) to MBDS standards
- Participate in client, consultant, and contractor meetings and site visits
- Maintain strong supplier knowledge and contribute to studio library upkeep
- Mentor junior designers and support overall team productivity
- Represent MBDS professionally within all project interactions

Experience & Knowledge
- 3–6 years’ experience in hospitality or residential design
- Understanding of UK building regulations and construction technology
- Strong grasp of materials, joinery, detailing, and industry trends
- Some on-site experience and awareness of project feasibility/commerciality
