About Bristol Fungarium

We’re one of the UK’s leading functional mushroom companies – who farm and formulate organic mushroom tinctures with a particular focus on UK-native strains. Our products combine the highest strength and bioavailable formulations underpinned by a commitment to science and helping folk reconnect to the land and their wellbeing.

We're a tight-knit marketing team (brand, creative, strategy) with an ad agency and email agency plugged in. What we don't have yet is a dedicated dev and UX hand and that's where you come in.

The Role

We're looking for a freelance Web Developer and UX/UI Designer to plug into our marketing team on a regular retainer basis (~4 hrs/week), with the capacity to step up for launches, wider campaigns and other projects. You'll work closely with our Lead Creative and Marketing Strategist to keep our Shopify store performing, looking sharp and converting through thought-out design and user-experience.

Responsibilities

  • Shopify store maintenance - updates, fixes, content swaps, landing page tweaks
  • UX improvements to key conversion pages (PDP, subscriptions, checkout)
  • Translating design files (Figma/Canva) into clean, on-brand front-end code
  • Performance and speed checks - flagging anything that needs attention
  • Accessibility and mobile responsiveness improvements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
