About Mednet
At Mednet, we believe the best healthcare communications do more than share information. They change how people think, feel and act.
We partner with some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies to turn complex science into ideas that are emotionally resonant, strategically sharp and creatively unexpected. Every strategy we build and every story we tell connects rigorous science with deeply human insight and bold creativity. Because better communication leads to better care.
This is a place for curious minds: people who thrive on intellectual challenge, bold thinking and purposeful creativity. If that is you, Mednet is where your ideas can truly make a difference.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
- Build and manage scalable back-end services using Node.js and Express.js.
- Design, implement and maintain RESTful APIs for scalable, efficient data communication between services and front-end applications.
- Integrate internal and third-party APIs across healthcare, AI and data analytics platforms.
- Support the design and implementation of API management strategies, including authentication, versioning, throttling and monitoring.
- Work with structured and unstructured databases, including PostgreSQL and Cosmos DB, ensuring efficient data storage and access.
- Write unit, integration and E2E tests across the stack: Vitest and React Testing Library on the front end, pytest on the Python/FastAPI services. Prioritise integration tests against real API endpoints.
- Optimise CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows on Azure.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare data standards (NHS DSPT, GDPR, ISO27001) across everything you build.
What good looks like (first 6–12 months)
- Delivery of scalable, secure and high-performing features across Mednet Health's digital platforms.
- Strong ownership of front-end and back-end development, from design through to deployment.
- Trusted collaboration with the Data & AI team on intelligent, data-driven features.
- Confident handling of API integrations, database work and automated testing without close supervision.
- Positive feedback from the wider engineering team on code quality, reliability and documentation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
