Midday Supervisor (LSEAT Harmonised 13 - £25,172 FTE)
Location: schools across Bromley, Bexley, Sussex, Lambeth & Surrey Contract Type: Part-time (core hours: 11:45am – 13:45pm, Mon–Fri) Start Date: September 2026 Closing Date: Tuesday 7 July 2026 Interview Date: To be confirmed
About the Role
We are seeking a Midday Supervisor with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a passion for supporting young people—especially those with additional needs—during the school lunch break. Training will be provided, making this role accessible to those with:
- Experience (or care/concern) for children and young people.
- People skills, vigilance, and a team-oriented mindset.
This is a core school role supporting structured, safe, and engaging lunchtime supervision across dining and play areas.
Key Accountabilities:
- Safe supervision in lunch areas:
- Oversee children in classrooms, dining areas, and external play zones during lunch breaks.
- Ensure orderly conduct and welfare while monitoring potential safety risks—intervening as needed.
- Pupil movement & transitions:
- Facilitate orderly movement between lessons, play, and dining spaces.
- Remain vigilant until classes resume.
- Personalized support:
- Assist individual pupils—anticipating and responding to their unique needs.
