Middle Office Analyst
London | Full Time | Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits
We are working with a leading financial markets firm to appoint a Middle Office Analyst to join its Equities Trading team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in Trade Support, Middle Office or Operations who is looking to work closely with execution traders in a fast paced front office environment. The successful candidate will support the trading desk across the full trade lifecycle while playing a key role in delivering a first class service to both internal stakeholders and clients.
The Role
Working directly alongside the execution trading desk, you will support trading activity across Equities and ETFs, ensuring trades are executed, confirmed and settled accurately while maintaining high quality market and client data.
The role offers broad exposure to front office trading activity and would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast moving environment where accuracy, organisation and communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution trading desk across Equities and ETF products
- Confirm trades with counterparties and clients following execution
- Communicate pricing and trade details accurately and efficiently
- Monitor trades through to successful settlement and resolve any exceptions
- Execute and cross trades on the market where required
- Maintain and update market data across internal systems
- Keep client mapping and reference data accurate and up to date
- Produce end of day trading recaps and bespoke client reporting
- Coordinate information across the trading desk to ensure the smooth running of daily operations
- Liaise with traders, clients and internal teams to support the full trade lifecycle
- Assist with operational projects and process improvements

Requirements
- Previous experience within Middle Office, Trade Support or Operations gained within a brokerage, investment bank, market maker or financial markets firm
- Good understanding of the trade lifecycle from execution through to settlement
- Exposure to Equities, ETFs or other listed products
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across trading and operations teams
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced trading environment
- Proactive approach with a willingness to take ownership and solve problems
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using financial systems

- Experience supporting an execution trading desk
- Knowledge of equity market structure and settlement processes
- Experience using Bloomberg or other market data platforms
- Understanding of client reporting and market data management
