Equifind Hedge Fund Operations Analyst

Equifind are representing a West End based London Hedge Fund who are looking to hire a Fund Operations Analyst.

This is a great growth opportunity for anybody looking to develop their fund operations career further with a role that comes with lots of scope and breadth. This particular Hedge Fund boasts an impressive investment portfolio mainly consisting of Equity products across £3-Billion AUM.

This position offers an exciting chance to join a very interesting and successful business. The team is small but set to grow in the immediate future, you’ll get a chance to work closely with the rest of the wider team, learn lots daily, and interact with everyone across the business regularly.

The ideal candidate for this position will also be highly technical and lead the automation of critical processes using Python, SQL, Macros, and PowerQuery to unlock faster, smarter, and more reliable data operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operational processes across the fund, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all activities related to equities and fund operations
  • Manage the full trade lifecycle, including trade capture, confirmation, and settlement, ensuring timely and accurate execution
  • Perform daily trade and cash reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Monitor and manage cash positions, supporting liquidity needs and ensuring effective cash management across portfolios
  • Coordinate with brokers, custodians, and internal teams to ensure smooth settlement of trades and resolution of any breaks
  • Produce and review investment reporting, ensuring data integrity and timely delivery to internal stakeholders
  • Support fund operations activities including valuations, NAV checks, and pricing verification
  • Partner with compliance teams to support regulatory and internal reporting requirements, ensuring adherence to policies and controls
  • Maintain accurate records of trade confirmations and ensure proper documentation is in place for audit and compliance purposes
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives

To be considered for this role of Permanent Hedge Fund Operations Analyst working for this West End based leading Hedge Fund candidates should ideally be:

  • 1-3+ years of experience working with Fund Operations
  • Ideally excellent academic background with a STEM degree subject.
  • Ideally from a Russell Group/Red Brick University.
  • Some previous technical knowledge; SQL, Python, PowerQuery, Macros preferred
  • An organised individual who is keen to learn, has high attention to detail and the ability to build meaningful analysis
  • Enjoy working with numbers and large data sets with at least an intermediate skill set level with MS Excel
  • Ability to self-prioritise and manage workload
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

The Permanent Hedge Fund Operations Analyst working for this West End based leading Hedge Fund company offer:

  • Salary: £45,000 PA - £55,000 PA.
