Programme Information
Investment20/20 Trainee Programme – Middle Office (London)
Programme Overview
- This is a 12-month fixed-term trainee programme with an emphasis on career exploration within the business.
- While a permanent role is not guaranteed, 75% of Investment20/20 trainees receive an offer to extend for a further year at the end of their contract, provided performance meet expectations.
- Challenge yourself in a real-world environment while gaining professional experience and qualifications to secure a permanent position.
- Network with 300+ trainees across the industry via training sessions, social events, and industry insight meetings.

Structure
- A 1-year internship with 24 days annual leave. All roles are based in London.
- You’ll work alongside experienced professionals from Day One, addressing operational challenges under the guidance of your team.
Key Responsibilities
The Middle Office team at Amundi supports investment teams in Emerging Markets, Global Fixed Income, and Leverage Loans, acting as the central hub for operational matters, particularly regarding UK client transactions. The role involves accurate record-keeping, consistent valuations, and timely reporting.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Reconciliation & Discrepancy Resolution
- Perform Cash, NAV (Net Asset Value), and holding reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Investigate discrepancies and escalate issues until full resolution.

Settlement & Collateral Management
- Oversee publication settlement, margin calls, and collateral management.

Client Reporting & Automation
- Deliver client-specific reports.
- Support the reporting automation programme.

Funding & Currency Management
- Manage currency funding for exotic currency trades.

Business Implementation & Onboarding
- Support fund launches and mandate onboardings.

Innovation & Process Optimisation
- Proactively identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose technology-driven solutions.
- Develop data models and independent views independently, fostering thinking before automation.
- Challenge existing workflows and contribute to shaping the Middle Office of the future.
