Middle Weight Digital Designer (12 Months FTC) – eCommerce UX Team
Location: NEXT Head Office, Leicestershire Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC)
About the Role
At NEXT, we don’t just create digital assets—we craft seamless, inspirational experiences that resonate with millions of customers worldwide. As a Midweight Creative Designer within our Online Creative team, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our brand to life across digital platforms.
This is an opportunity for a proactive designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to transform fresh concepts into polished, high-impact digital content. Whether transitioning from an agency or in-house setting, you’ll join a supportive team of experts dedicated to fostering collaboration and driving creativity.
Responsibilities
You’ll lead the creative process from concept to final execution, ensuring every design aligns with our brand and drives comprehensive success:
- Lead creative workflows: Translate briefs into exceptional designs at every stage, from initial concept to polished final delivery.
- Create high-impact digital assets: Design engaging content for:
- Landing pages & homepages
- Emails & editorial features
- Commercial campaigns and brand collateral
- Develop internal assets: Produce moodboards, pitch decks, and high-quality visuals to support cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate commercially: Work with stakeholders to ensure designs maximise reach and impact globally.
- Innovate & evolve: Share original ideas to refine our digital style and push creative boundaries.

Requirements
We’re looking for someone who is authentic, boundary-pushing, and portfolio-proven:
- A portable showcasing high-calibre digital design, reflecting creativity and technical skill.
- Technical expertise in:
- Figma (essential)
- Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator preferred)
- Innovative mindset: Ability to challenge conventions and propose fresh, original ideas.
- Clear communication: Confidence to present work to multi-stakeholder audiences.
- Organisational excellence: Balancing deadlines, feedback cycles, and deadlines efficiently, especially during peak periods.
- Collaborative spirit: Thriving in cross-functional, team-based environments to deliver impactful results.
