You’ll be part of a small team of Experience Designers that share a passion for crafting compelling, evidence-based and beautiful customer experiences.
You will be comfortable working across discovery and delivery, contributing to research, design direction and optimisation across digital product engagements. You’ll take ownership of defined workstreams, collaborate closely with both senior and junior team members, and help shape solutions that balance user needs with business goals.
This role suits a developing practitioner who combines solid UX / UI craft with growing confidence in research, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
User Research & Discovery
- Plan and conduct user research activities (interviews, usability testing, surveys) with support where needed
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to uncover meaningful insights
- Contribute to workshops (e.g. discovery, ideation, journey mapping), with increasing confidence in facilitation
- Support the synthesis of research into clear outputs such as insights, journey maps, personas and opportunity areas
- Help identify user needs and translate them into actionable problem statements
UX & UI Design
- Contribute to and independently carry out audits of existing experiences and the concepting of solutions based on research, strategy and data
- Create clear wireframes, user flows and low to mid fidelity prototypes to explore and communicate ideas
- Contribute to high-fidelity designs for new experiences and optimisation work
- Ensure quality, consistency and accessibility are considered throughout the design process
- Work with and contribute to design systems and component libraries
- Present design work to internal and client stakeholders at key stages of projects, with support where needed
Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, strategy, design) in agile and traditional delivery environments
- Prepare design documentation and assets for development teams
- Collaborate with senior designers to align on approach, priorities and design direction
- Contribute to a positive team culture through feedback, collaboration and knowledge sharing

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
