Job Description

Are you a passionate midwife who is as passionate as we are about providing the best service possible. It goes without saying that you will demonstrate a caring and compassionate nature, attention to detail and enjoy working in a busy environment.

About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced midwife to join our existing Maternity Assessment Suite team.

Responsibilities

  • You will have a reassuring style that inspires confidence and promotes our range of services to the families you are supporting.
  • You will be an excellent communicator, who is also great at listening to women and their families, helping them to achieve a high quality, positive and safe experience through the development of personalised care plans.
  • You will work collaboratively with the Maternity Assessment Suite midwives and wider multidisciplinary team to provide efficient and safe care to women and families using the triage service.

Working Conditions

Women can access the service from sixteen weeks gestation up until four weeks following birth. Around 1000 women attend each month with a variety of health concerns relating to themselves or their unborn baby.

Maternity Assessment Suite is a fast paced, acute environment requiring autonomous practice and effective team working. It requires prompt decision making skills and appropriate and timely escalation when necessary to ensure safe care provision.
