North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Midwife/General Obstetric Sonographer to join our expanding Maternity Ultrasound Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a modern, well-equipped District General Hospital in the multicultural and rapidly growing city of Peterborough.

The role includes cross-site working at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, with the additional unique opportunity to be part of shaping services ahead of the new multi-million-pound, state-of-the-art hospital planned to begin construction in 2027–2028.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and proactive clinician with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering safe, compassionate maternity care. You will be capable of working both independently and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. Your drive and positive approach will play a key role in the continued development of our service.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
