Key Details

  • Salary:
    • Day Shift: £19.55 per hour
    • Back Shift: £23.46 per hour
    • Night Shift: £26.39 per hour
    • Overtime (1.5x Mon-Sat): £29.33 per hour
    • Overtime (2x Sundays): £39.10 per hour
  • Hours: Full Time, Permanent – 36.5 hours per week (4.5-day week)
  • Shifts:
    • Days (Mon-Thu 08:00-16:00, Fri 08:00-12:30)
    • Back Shift (Mon-Thu 16:00-00:00, Fri 12:30-17:00)
    • Night Shift (Mon-Thu 00:00-08:00, Fri 17:00-21:30)

Job Summary

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Your role may include, but is not limited to:

  • Performing manual finish welding operations in 2F, 3F, 4F & 3G positions
  • Following documented procedures to produce safe and defect-free work
  • Using jib and overhead cranes to manually position heavy workpieces

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

You will have:

  • Experience in MIG welding (solid wire)
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in welding or fabricating
  • Heavy fabrication or manufacturing experience, preferably working on build/welding fixtures to tight tolerances
  • Skills to perform multi-pass welds
  • Excellent teamworking capabilities and strong communication skills
  • A serious commitment to safety and team-based performance

Desired Qualifications

Preferred but not essential:

  • Vertical welding experience
  • Experience welding materials between 2mm and 20mm

Job Knowledge abc Required

You will need to:

  • Successfully demonstrate 2F, 3F, 4F & 3G welding technique proficiency
  • Follow documented procedures to deliver safe, defect-free workmanship

Intrinsic to this role is absolutely consistent adherence to safety standards. As a result, all candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen for prohibited substances to join our team.
