Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Permanent following a successful 3-month temporary probation period
We are looking for an experienced MIG Welder to join a materials manufacturing site in Wellingborough, supporting the maintenance team within the construction sector.
This hands-on role is ideal for a skilled MIG Welder with a maintenance fitting background who enjoys a varied workload. Alongside fabrication and welding, you'll assist with maintaining plant equipment, carrying out repairs, and supporting the smooth running of the site.
Pay & Hours
- £18.00+ p/hour, depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
- 39-hour working week
- Permanent role (subject to successful 3-month probation period)

MIG Welder Duties
- Carrying out MIG welding and fabrication on plant, equipment, and site infrastructure
- Repairing damaged machinery, tools, and steelwork
- Assisting with reactive and planned maintenance across site
- Working on mechanical equipment including cranes, fork trucks, rotator wheels, and similar plant
- Supporting preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime
- Reading engineering drawings and fabricating replacement components where required
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work area
- Following all health & safety procedures and attending toolbox talks where required

What We're Looking For
- Proven MIG welding and fabrication experience
- Previous maintenance fitting or mechanical maintenance background
- Experience working on plant equipment within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Comfortable working in a reactive maintenance environment
- Able to work independently with a strong focus on quality and safety
