About the Role
Our Mild Steel Fabricator/Welders are responsible for manufacturing, fabricating and welding of steel structures in mild steel. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, measuring and preparing materials, cutting, and carrying out welding operations to produce high-quality products that meet company and customer specifications. Our Fabricator/Welders ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and complying with relevant health and safety regulations.
The role will work from our Congleton site, UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Measure, mark out, cut, drill, and prepare mild steel materials for fabrication.
- Assemble fabricated components and structures in accordance with engineering drawings.
- Carry out MAG Welding to a competent standard.
- Operate fabrication equipment and machinery safely, including saws, grinders, drills, and cutting equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed within specified timescales while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Follow all Health & Safety policies, risk assessments, and safe working procedures.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Comply with company procedures, quality management systems, and customer requirements.

Key qualifications and requirements
- Demonstrable relevant experience in fabrication and welding
- Willingness to undertake welding qualification tests as required upon employment.
