Area Manager – Fulfillment Center (Military Transition Opportunity)

About The Role & Key Responsibilities

As an Area Manager, you’ll oversee one of the main teams in your Fulfillment Center (receive, stow, pick, pack, or ship), ensuring seamless workflows and exceeding customer expectations. Your team—approximately 80–120 associates—will rely on your leadership to:

  • Drive training and integration, fostering growth and morale
  • Motivate high performance, exceeding metric targets with relentless focus on safety, quality, and process efficiency
  • Leaders in action: Lead cross-functional teams to solve operational challenges, uphold Amazon’s high standards, and continuously improve workflows
  • Subject matter expert: Develop deep knowledge of FC processes and share best practices across networks

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, operations, logistics, supply chain, or engineering
  • Management & influence: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and positively shape team behaviours
  • Problem-solving: Experience in root cause analysis and quick reaction under pressure

  • Flexibility: Able to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required

  • Military experience: Skills transferable from team leadership, critical operations, or disaster response.
