Location: Walsingham, Norfolk

Contract and Shift Details

  • Week 1: Monday – Thursday (Nights, 6pm–6am)
  • Week 2: Monday – Wednesday (Days, 6am–6pm) & Friday – Sunday (Nights, 6pm–6am)
  • Week 3: Thursday – Sunday (Days, 6am–6pm)
  • Week 4: Rest week (off)

About the Role

Have hands-on experience in a production, feed mill, or agricultural/farming environment? We’re seeking trusted individuals to join our small team as part of an established business. As a Mill Operative, you’ll form part of a shift team of 6, operating across 2 control rooms and 5 production lines for high-quality animal feed.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising press lines and ensuring their efficient operation
  • Daily cleaning and maintenance of station equipment
  • Collaborating across teams to supply raw materials and monitor stock levels

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring feed quality & safety, prioritising compliance standards
  • Meeting production targets by following set daily plans and KPIs
  • Maintaining mill hygiene via daily cleaning tasks (comprising sweeping, mopping, sanitising)
  • Providing transparent raw material stock reports to aid logistics and ordering
  • Supporting, when necessary, maintenance teams and any basic maintenance duties
  • Supporting wider projects, enabling the mill to operate at its peak performance

Requirements

We welcome candidates with the following background or capabilities:

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, food production, or agriculture
  • Experience with automated machinery
  • Flexibility and multi-skill ability to meet demands of the mill
  • Competence in MS Office suite (Teams, Excel)
  • Prepared to work in a noisy, dusty, and warm environment
