Job Title: Mill/Turner, Nights

Work Schedule: Onsite – Wolverhampton, GBR

Job Description

Moog Aircraft Group are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with proven experience operating Mazak 3‑axis and 4‑axis machines, including complex mill‑turn applications to join our team at our Wolverhampton facility.

The role involves machining high‑precision components from titanium, steel, and aluminum, working to tight tolerances and quality standards in a production or aerospace/precision engineering environment.

Programming is not a requirement as all shop programs are produced off-line by our Manufacturing Engineering department, but some ISO/EIA programming experience may be useful in out of hours trouble shooting but not a core requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set, operate, and adjust Mazak CNC machines (3‑axis and 4‑axis), including mill‑turn centres.
  • Machine complex components to tight tolerances and high surface finish requirements
  • Work with difficult and exotic materials including titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Operators will not normally see a cad model in usual operating conditions. They will work with process stage sketches, tech specs and drawing references where required, using the in-house Solumina interface. Solumina experience will not need to be a requirement here though as it is easily picked up for shop use.
  • Offsetting and tool compensation for process control is essential and some experience of speed / feed use may be preferable for out of hours troubleshooting.
  • Carry out first‑off inspections and ongoing quality checks using a variety of measuring equipment, including CMM machinery.
  • Identify and resolve machining or tooling issues to minimise scrap and downtime
  • Maintain machines and work area to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Work to production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
