Mind Skills for Life Coordinator – Part-Time Role (NWM/719)
Job Details
- Hours: Part-time (14 hours per week, 2 days)
- Work Pattern: Mon-Fri, 9AM–5PM (exact schedule to be discussed at interview)
- Salary: £26,818 per annum (pro rata for part-time hours, up to 12-month contract)
- Location: REST Kings Lynn (PE30)
- Essential Requirements:
- Valid driver’s licence
- Access to a vehicle with business insurance
- Mileage reimbursement at 45p per mile (after deducting home-to-work travel)
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Mind Skills for Life Coordinator to shape and deliver an innovative mental health programme for young people (age 14+). This key preventative role will focus on improving mental health through early intervention, supporting young people during critical transition points.
As a newly funded position, you will:
- Collaborate with schools, colleges, community partners and employers
- Develop a 12-month programme plan tailored to local needs
- Embed accessible, impactful and sustainable wellbeing initiatives

Key Responsibilities

Programme Design & Delivery:
- Develop and implement a structured Mind Skills for Life programme across North and West Norfolk
- Create and maintain partnerships with education providers, healthcare, community groups and employers

Support & Interventions:
- Deliver group sessions, workshops and one-to-one support
- Provide triage, signposting and strengths-based wellbeing interventions
- Coordinate training events, community activities and referral pathways

Outcome Focus:
- Ensure individuals access timely and appropriate mental health support
- Facilitate referrals for clinical care and support services where needed
Requirements & Essential Qualities
- Strong experience in mental health awareness, prevention or youth work
- Excellent project management and leadership skills for programme development
- Ability to build rapid trust-based relationships with young people and stakeholders
- Commitment to duty of care, confidentiality and safeguarding
- Preference will be given to those with lived experience of mental health challenges
