Description
King Edward’s School, Bath is looking for a reliable and friendly Minibus Driver to provide safe and punctual transport for pupils during term time. This rewarding role involves driving designated routes, supporting school activities and events, and helping to maintain the school’s minibus fleet.
The ideal candidate will hold a full clean UK driving licence with D1 entitlement, have excellent time management and communication skills, and enjoy working with young people as part of a supportive school community.
Salary: £14.53 per hour plus holiday pay
Hours: 10–20 hours per week, term time only (36 weeks per year), typically 7.00am–9.00am and/or 4pm–6pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport pupils to and from school following designated routes and timetables.
- Provide a reliable, punctual and professional transport service.
- Carry out routine vehicle checks, cleaning and refuelling to maintain a safe and roadworthy minibus.
- Maintain passenger records and report any vehicle faults or safety concerns.
- Support school trips, events and the transport of equipment between sites when required.
- Comply with all safeguarding, health and safety, and road traffic regulations.
- Act as a positive ambassador for King Edward's School, building good relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Full clean UK driving licence with D1 entitlement.
- Excellent time management and reliability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Professional, friendly and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good awareness of health and safety responsibilities.
- Experience driving passenger vehicles desirable.
