Start Date: 1st September 2026
Salary:
- £4,475 per annum (for mornings only, 1.75 hours daily)
- £8,951 per annum (for mornings and afternoons, 3.5 hours daily)

Role Description
Mayfield Preparatory School is seeking a safety-conscious, calm and reliable Minibus Driver to safely transport pupils between designated pick-up points and the school. Overtime may be made available for school trips and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily and weekly vehicle safety inspections and maintain records
- Monitor the cleanliness of the minibus and arrange for regular internal and external cleaning
- Check fuel and fluid levels, and report any maintenance concerns to the relevant parties
- Drive safely, adhering strictly to road regulations and speed limits
- Supervise pupils, ensuring:
- Seatbelts are worn at all times
- Safety procedures are consistently followed
- Enforce the school’s minibus policy and promptly report any incidents or behaviour concerns
- Communicate professionally with parents using agreed school procedures and channels
- Collect and drop off pupils at designated locations and times
- Manage and report accidents or incidents appropriately
- Ensure strict compliance with data protection policies and procedures

Requirements
- Candidates must:
- Have at least two years of driving experience
- Hold a full, clean UK full car licence (preference for D1 entitlement)
- Be aged 25+ (for insurance purposes)
