MIS Data Reporting Apprentice – Ellesmere Port Campus
Salary: £24,784 to £26,952 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, Contract (up to 4 years for apprenticeship)
Location: Ellesmere Port Campus
About the Role
We are seeking a MIS Data Reporting Apprentice to join our busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for an adaptable individual to make a meaningful impact in delivering a quality data reporting service for learners and staff.
A strong background in maths and computing, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills, would be beneficial. Applicants must demonstrate a keen interest in a career in data analysis and a commitment to ensuring high levels of accuracy in their work. Support will be provided by the wider team and the programme’s other apprentices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a first point of contact for department support queries.
- Assist in the testing and maintenance of the College’s reporting systems to ensure up-to-date information availability.
- Maintain a sound knowledge of the department’s procedures and processes.
- Develop expert knowledge of relevant software packages and tools, including:
- Pro Solution
- Pro Monitor
- Data dashboards
- SQL
- Undertake specific projects and deliver solutions within agreed timescales.
- Assist in data quality checks to improve data accuracy and optimise funding using internal and external software.
- Develop, maintain, and update dashboards and MIS reporting solutions, reviewing existing systems for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Produce reports to analyse management information and identify trends while identifying and rectifying data errors.

Key Person Specification Requirements
Qualifications:
- GCSE Grade B (5) or higher in English and Maths.
- A minimum of:
- A2 Grades BCC, or
- BTEC Extended Diploma grades D*DD, in relevant subjects.
Skills & Attributes:
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships across the organisation.
- Excellent computing, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
