Main Responsibilities

Contribute to the review of financial procedures and documents and verify the attached documents to ensure their accounting correctness and enter them into the financial accounting system according to the procedures, policies, and accounting standards. Collect special data and information required for the control of capital expenditures (fixed assets), follow up on petty cash advances, and preliminary audit of their disbursement procedures according to the established standards. Contribute to following up and scrutinizing financial settlements and tax collection procedures with state missions abroad that fall within the geographical scope of the sector. Contribute to the implementation of monitoring and auditing the implementation of the diplomatic missions' payroll procedures for local employees that fall within the geographical scope of the department according to the approved policies. Participate in the inventory of official third-party claims that are due for reimbursement by liaising with representative missions outside the country, coordinating to ensure payment, and informing the department of the remittances. Collect data and information on claims and periodic reports on expenses, income, and accounts receivable for the mission within the special geographical area. Communicate with the concerned authorities to obtain the necessary information about the bank accounts, their number, and all transfers related to them, and assist in conducting a surprise inventory of the missions' financial covenants. Contribute to the audit of the implementation of diplomatic missions' payroll procedures for local staff in the relevant missions. Communicate and coordinate with the Consular Services Department and provide them with data and proposals to contribute to the development of programs aimed at developing revenues. Save and archive all data and documents related to financial and accounting operations and all related correspondence, documents, and reports to ensure easy reference when needed. Prepare all correspondence, responses, circulars, minutes of meetings, and meetings related to the work requirements of the department and the concerned committees, and inform all concerned parties of the decisions issued under the directives of the direct supervisor. Perform any tasks requested by the immediate supervisor related to the nature of the work.
