The Edinburgh team is seeking a Principal Mixed Signal Design Verification Engineer to grow its talented group located in the city centre of the Scottish capital. ADI’s Personal Electronics Solutions Group has been leading the industry, working with the world’s leading consumer companies, providing high value audio solutions for the portable, wearable, and gaming markets. We are poised for significant growth as we enter the next phase, driven by the insatiable consumer demand for new technologies and access to information.

Responsibilities
- Complete Mixed Signal verification ownership – Testbench Architecture, Testplan and Testbench Development, Functional Coverage Closure and Code Coverage Closure
- Strong track-record of successful verification of complex mixed signal designs and sub-systems in a tightly constrained project using leading edge verification methodologies.
- Architecting a unified verification environment supporting both digital only and mixed signal verification requirements (UVM based).
- Defining test plans and methodologies for chip-level verification.
- Code and functional coverage closure.
- Behavioural modelling of analog blocks and DMS netlist generation.
- Continuous interaction with analog mixed signal and firmware teams.
- Supporting post-silicon verification activities of the products working with design, product evaluation and applications engineering teams.
- Continue to improve DV methodologies consistent with the group’s wider business objectives.
- Actively explore and deploy techniques to improve coverage while reducing verification time with a strong methodology, automation and reuse concept in mind
- Technically mentoring less-experienced verification engineers. For a passionate leader with people development skill, opportunity for people management is possible.

Requirements
- Expert-level proficient in developing UVM-based mixed signal testbench infrastructure, functional coverage development, code coverage analysis and closure, assertion development.
- Behavioral modeling of analog blocks, System Verilog Real-Number Modeling, model validation.
- Knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso for managing dms_configs, SystemVerilog/wreal views and creating DMS netlist.
- Proficiency in Scripting languages and utilities including Makefile, Python, Perl etc.
- Gate Level Simulation (GLS) verification flow for SoC verification.
- Experience in leading projects/people would be a plus.
- Excellent inter-personal, teamwork, and communication skills are required
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic with leadership competence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge in AHB/AXI/APB protocols, knowledge in Audio Interface would be a plus
- Ability to create a verification plan with work breakdown and drive it independently as a project
- Experience in Power aware simulations or Formal Verification
- Experience in Audio IP and SoC level verification
- Understanding of DSP (Digital Signal processing) concepts
- Passion for Audio
- Proactive and growth mindset
