This role is an opportunity for a passionate mixing engineer to collaborate on a deeply personal indie music project exploring themes of faith, recovery, mental health, and fatherhood. The project, titled Wild Nerves, consists of ten recorded tracks that require both mixing and mastering, as well as vocal tuning. The ideal candidate will resonate with the emotional core of the music and be committed to bringing the stories to life through their technical and creative expertise. The artist is seeking a long-term partnership with someone who values authentic storytelling and is motivated by meaningful work. The delivery deadline for the project is October 29, 2026.
Responsibilities
Mix and master ten recorded tracks, ensuring clarity, balance, and emotional impact Apply vocal tuning and editing to enhance performance while maintaining authenticity Collaborate closely with the artist to understand the vision and narrative behind each song Provide creative input on sonic direction and overall soundscape Meet project milestones and final delivery deadline Communicate progress and incorporate feedback in a timely manner

Skills And Requirements
Proven experience in mixing and mastering music, preferably within indie, singer-songwriter, or alternative genres Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs and audio plugins (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Waves, iZotope) Strong vocal tuning and editing skills Ability to interpret and enhance the emotional intent of a song through mixing choices Excellent communication and collaboration skills Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work within a set timeline Open to ongoing partnership for future projects Remote work; flexible availability to accommodate project needs
