Mixing Room Operative – Granthamissance, and we are currently looking for a Mixing Room Operative to join our dedicated team

Job Details
- Salary: £28,801 per year (starting from £28,801 in this role)
- Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday – 22:00–06:00
Job Purpose
To efficiently operate, maintain, and manage heavy-duty mixing machinery while ensuring seamless workflow in a high-pressure production environment. The role demands exceptional physical capability, technical problem-solving skills, and strong teamwork to meet stringent production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Maintenance
- Safely assemble, dismantle, operate, and troubleshoot industrial mixing machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere to strict operational protocols and safety guidelines.
Material Handling
- Decant 15kg baskets of raw materials throughout the shift.
- Manually push tubs weighing 180–200 kg.
- Ensure accurate material measurement and mixing ratios.

Workflow Management
- Maintain a consistent output in a fast-paced environment to meet daily production quotas.
- Monitor mixing processes, adjusting parameters as needed to ensure product quality.
- Document batch records and maintain cleanliness in the mixing area.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with experienced production staff to resolve operational challenges.
Physical Demands
- Heavy lifting (baskets up to 25kg) and pushing loads of 180–200kg.
- Standing for 90% of the shift with frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Operating in high-noise and cold environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Physical capability: Demonstrated ability to handle repetitive heavy manual tasks.
- Technical aptitude: Experience operating industrial machinery; mechanical assembly skills preferred.
- Stress resilience: Thrives under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Problem-solving: Quickly identifies and resolves operational bottlenecks.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate in a skilled team environment.
- Experience: Previous work in manufacturing, warehousing, or physically demanding roles.
