About The Role
We are currently seeking a talented ML Engineer at an early to mid-career level for a new contract role within a forward-thinking AI-focused HealthTech start-up. This position offers an immediate start and an opportunity to make a tangible impact on patient care outcomes through innovative AI solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, optimize, and deploy machine learning models that enhance healthcare services. The role involves a blend of software engineering and data science, emphasizing productization of ML models rather than research or prototyping alone.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess solid technical skills and relevant experience, including:
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS cloud services.
- A background in Software Engineering or Data Engineering, with experience working on back-end systems.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning models, particularly in deploying and productizing them for real-world applications.
Additional Desirable Qualifications Include
- Understanding of ML Data Science concepts from an API perspective, including GraphQL, gRPC, and REST.
- Experience working within start-up environments or the HealthTech sector.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing, testing, and deploying machine learning models that address real-world healthcare challenges.
- Collaborating with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to integrate ML solutions into existing platforms.
- Optimizing models for performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments.
- Ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participating in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to maintain high engineering standards.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of AI workflows and deployment pipelines.

Benefits
This contract role offers competitive compensation at £400 per day, outside IR35, for a duration of three months. The position provides flexible working arrangements, including a requirement of one day per week in the London office, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
