MLD Teacher – Harrow – Immediate Start

This specialist SEND school in the London Borough of Harrow is seeking a passionate MLD Teacher to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. The school supports pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism, and associated communication needs, delivering a highly personalised curriculum that promotes academic achievement, independence, and life skills.


About the Role

The MLD Teacher will:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Focus on promoting independence, confidence, and effective communication skills.
  • Collaborate closely with Teaching Assistants, specialist therapists, and curriculum teams to provide tailored support.
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.

Requirements & Qualifications

We are looking for a creative, patient, and reflective educator who:

✔ Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and is experienced in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or additional learning needs. ✔ Demonstrates a genuine interest in and specialist knowledge of SEND provision, particularly in Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). ✔ Maintains high expectations for every learner with clear goals for personal growth. ✔ Commits to a collaborative, team-based approach within a multi-agency setting.
