In this role, you will add value to PXP by:

  • Leading and embedding a robust compliance and financial crime framework across the business, ensuring regulatory obligations are translated into practical controls, systems and decision-making processes, while acting as the firm’s MLRO and primary point of contact for financial crime matters.

A typical week as an MLRO and Compliance Officer might involve:

  • Leading the compliance function (3 direct reports) and ensuring regulatory requirements are translated into measurable controls and operational processes.
  • Developing and maintaining compliance frameworks, including policies, monitoring, reporting and governance structures.
  • Providing independent oversight and challenge to business activities, products and strategic initiatives.
  • Delivering reporting to the CRCO, Risk Committees and Board.
  • Leading regulatory horizon scanning.
  • Acting as MLRO, overseeing AML, CTF, sanctions and financial crime frameworks.
  • Managing relationships with regulators, card schemes and external partners.
  • Driving automation and use of data, analytics and AI.
  • Promoting a strong compliance culture through training and engagement.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has significant experience leading compliance in payments, fintech or regulated financial services.
  • Has operated as an MLRO or senior financial crime leader.
  • Has strong knowledge of UK regulatory requirements.
  • Can design and operationalise compliance frameworks.
  • Is confident managing regulators and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates strong judgement and communication.

We would love someone to have any of the following:

  • Experience implementing Regulatory Technology, automation or AI-enabled compliance solutions.
  • Strong data and MI capabilities.
  • Experience across multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
  • ICA Diploma or equivalent.
