Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer
£41,000 - £44,000 + On-Call + Company Vehicle Coventry (Regional Cover) Full-Time | Permanent
We're looking for an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join a growing Facilities Management business supporting major retail sites across the Coventry area.
This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company with a strong pipeline of work, a supportive team and a regional patch that allows you to manage your own workload without constantly travelling across the country.
The role is predominantly service and maintenance based, with very little installation work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and delivering a high standard of service.
The Role
You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of commercial HVAC and air conditioning systems across multiple retail sites throughout your region. Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you'll manage your own day while being supported by the scheduling and operations teams whenever needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
- Service, diagnose and repair commercial air conditioning systems.
- Work on split systems, VRF/VRV systems and packaged units.
- Maintain equipment including Airedale and DX Cooling systems.
- Complete service reports and compliance paperwork accurately.
- Carry out general building maintenance where required.
- Provide a professional service to customers on site.
- Participate in the regional on-call rota.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
