Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer – Rutherglen, Glasgow
Role Overview
Position: Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer Hours: 40 per week Location: Rutherglen, Glasgow

We’re recruiting a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to provide maintenance, repair, and servicing of air conditioning systems—covering units from manufacturers like Daikin, Mitsubishi, Media, Toshiba, and LG. You may also work on split AC systems, VRV/VRF systems, heat pumps, and even refrigeration equipment such as chilled cabinets, multideck units, or ice machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair split AC systems, VRV/VRF systems, and heat pumps
- Complete accurate, timely work-related documentation (including inspection logs, reports, and remedial work)
- Undertake maintenance and repairs of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment
- Work across multiple manufacturer plants, including Daikin, Mitsubishi, Media, Toshiba, and LG
- Perform tasks on specialised refrigeration equipment, such as chilled cabinets, multideck units, and ice machines

Requirements
- A background in maintenance/ facilities management
- A full, current UK driving licence
- Willingness to participate in an On-Call rota
- Relevant qualifications, such as:
- FGAS & ODS regulations certificate (essential for refrigeration work)
- Time-served apprenticeship in AC/refrigeration
- City & Guilds Level 3 (C&G) or NVQ in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent experience)
