I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Will Do
- Ship production-grade features from day one, owning the entire lifecycle from initial customer specification and UX polish to final deployment.
- Develop sophisticated offline-first mobile workflows using React Native and TypeScript, integrating native Swift/Kotlin modules for camera and sensors when necessary.
- Integrate advanced AI-powered features, including LLMs and agents, directly into mobile workflows to streamline messy real-world field processes for industrial workers.
The ideal candidate
- Proven experience shipping cross-platform apps with React Native and TypeScript, with the technical depth to drop into native iOS and Android codebases.
- Strong background in building offline-first applications that manage local persistence, conflict resolution, and reliable data synchronization in environments with unreliable connectivity.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, ideally with early-stage or founder experience, and a willingness to work directly with non-technical domain experts to define product requirements.
