Role Description
The Mobile Cabin Fitter role is a full-time, on-site position based in Leicestershire. The role involves fitting out, installing, and maintaining mobile cabins and site accommodation units, including tasks such as basic carpentry, minor plumbing, and simple electrical checks within competency. - Preparing cabins for hire
- Carrying out repairs and refurbishments
- Cleaning and ensuring cabins meet safety and quality standards
- Assisting with loading, unloading, and positioning units on customer sites

The Mobile Cabin Fitter will:
- Complete routine inspections
- Identify and report defects
- Follow health and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out
The role may also include:
- Liaising with customers on-site
- Supporting colleagues in the yard
- Working flexibly to meet operational and service demands
Qualifications
- Experience in a practical, hands-on role such as fitter, maintenance operative, or trades assistant within construction, hire, or facilities environments.
- Basic skills in carpentry, general repairs, and safe use of tools and equipment, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices, including safe manual handling, use of PPE, and adherence to company procedures.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, complete job sheets accurately, and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
- Full, valid UK driving license (preferably with experience driving light commercial vehicles or vans).
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy yard and site environment.
- Previous experience with cabin fitting, site accommodation, or plant and tool hire is beneficial but not essential; training can be provided.
- Willingness to undertake further job-related training and certifications as required by the role.
