Mobile Care Assistant
Care Assistant – Mobile & Personal Care Lifestyle (Part-Time) – Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire
McCarthy Stone is welcoming passionate Care Assistants to join its growing care team in providing exceptional mobile and lifestyle support for older adults across central Leicestershire.

🚗 Location & Commute Requirements
- Base: Ashby-de-la-Zouch (Leicestershire) + surrounding developments
- Mandatory: A valid full UK driving license and your own vehicle for travel between sites
- Travel Perks: Mileage reimbursed at 43p/mile + expenses covered
💰 Compensation & Hours

Base Rate: £14.50 per hour

Enhanced Pay:
- +30p/hour for evening shifts
- +£1.30/hour for weekend working

Typical Hours: Up to 20 hours/week on a rota basis
- Covers mornings, evenings, and alternate weekends (some bank holidays)
- Rotates between 7am–10pm

📝 Role Overview
This dual role combines Personal Care & Domestic Services, allowing you to:
- Support individuals with personalised care, hygiene, mobility, and household tasks
- Offer companionship & wellbeing activities
- Ensure communal areas are clean, safe, and welcoming
- Travel between purpose-built developments as the team grows
You’ll collaborate with Field Care Supervisors, House Managers, and Registered Care Managers to deliver high-quality, tailored service.

🔍 Key Responsibilities
🏡 Support for Individual Homeowners
- Assist with daily living activities (dressing, meal prep, routine duties)
- Provide personalised care for hygiene and medication management
- Support safe mobility and help with activities of daily living
🧼 Domestic Services
- Maintain high standards of communal and private spaces
- Execute housekeeping services (cleaning, laundry, meal prep)
- Collate shopping, errands, and household management
🤝 Social & Wellbeing Support
- Facilitate social engagement, transport arrangements, and outings
- Help schedule and attend medical appointments or appointments
- Foster a connected & happy lifestyle for residents
🎯 Required Skills & Experience
We welcome applications from caregivers, retirees, and career changers, so experience is not mandatory if you:
✔ Caregiver Skills: Interpersonal empathy, responsiveness, and commitment
✔ Domestic or Housekeeping Experience: (Prior pore helpful but training provided)
✔ Confidentiality & Assessment: Ability to handle personal care with discretion
✔ Fitness & Responsibility: Must possess a valid UK driving license + own vehicle for fieldwork
✔ Flexibility: A post-night rota that includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
