Mobile Caretaker

Canterbury

£27,764 - £29,225 per year

40 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Mobile Caretaker to join our team based in Canterbury. Working as part of a team, this role will combine elements of general grounds maintenance and along with cleaning and clearing void properties. As this is a fully mobile role, a company van and tools will be provided to complete tasks. We are looking for a proactive individual who will complete tasks in a timely manner, to a high quality and who works well within a team.

The role of Mobile Caretaker will include:

  • Undertaking general caretaking duties including internal block cleaning, litter picking, cleaning and clearing of void properties
  • Grounds maintenance tasks including lawn mowing, hedge trimming, weed spraying and general upkeep
  • Preparing voids for handover to housing for our new incoming customers
  • Working with customers to identify faults, resolving issues and improving services
  • Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
  • Carrying out all hazardous tasks such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements
  • Using equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and the manufacturer’s guidance

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
  • Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
  • Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Attention to detail in terms of getting property to a standard where we can move new customers in
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

This role will involve driving on company business. To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
