iOS Developer for One Sky
One Sky is a free sustainability app, turning every day actions into verified impact, built for everyone. You'll architect the native iOS layer, and set the standards. If you want real ownership and the freedom to build something the right way from day one, this is that role.
What difference will you make?
One Sky's mission is to make sustainable action accessible, measurable, and genuinely engaging — but right now, half of that opportunity is closed off. Our app is live and working hard on Android, but we have no presence on iOS at all, which means a large share of the people we most want to reach — service users, partner organisations, and everyday supporters who happen to carry an iPhone — simply can't take part.
Your work as our iOS Developer closes that gap. By building the native iOS side of the app, you'll open our platform to that entire audience for the first time — people tracking their environmental impact, taking part in sustainability challenges, and engaging with the causes we support, who currently have no way in. Every feature you ship, from onboarding through to our impact dashboards, becomes a new route for someone to get involved in climate action who couldn't before.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Beyond reach, this role shapes how seriously we're taken. As an organisation working with enterprise partners and funders, having a credible, polished presence across both major mobile platforms is often the difference between being seen as a scrappy pilot and being trusted as a partner for long-term sustainability programmes. Your work strengthens the case we make to funders and partners that One Sky is built to last.
Because there's no existing iOS codebase, you won't be maintaining someone else's decisions — you'll be setting the standard for how we show up on iOS from day one, working alongside the backend team who already support Android. That's a rare kind of ownership for a volunteer role, and it means your fingerprints stay on the product for as long as One Sky exists on iOS.
In short, your skills turn a real gap in our ability to deliver our mission into a resolved one — opening our work to more people, more partners, and more impact than we can currently reach.
