Mobile Dispensing Optician
As a Mobile Dispensing Optician, you will work across different stores within a defined geographical area to provide cover when opticians are unavailable.
About the Role
Our Mobile Dispensing Opticians play a critical role in supporting stores with clinical dispensing services. You will work closely with a Mobile Optometrist, ensuring a seamless journey for patients from consultation to dispensing. Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver exceptional care, advising customers on appropriate optical and healthcare products and services
- Flexible working across the optical network, developing expertise to meet patient needs
- Provide specialist knowledge for patients requiring complex solutions
- Coach staff, mentor Student Dispensing Opticians, and other team members
- Ensure legal compliance with clinical standards, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Contribute to store leadership, maintaining high clinical standards and operational efficiency
- Champion the digital agenda, guiding customers with relevant tech solutions

What You’ll Need
Essential qualifications, skills, or experience:
- Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
- Extensive optical dispensing experience and expertise
- Strong ability to build relationships with team members, leaders, customers, and external partners
- Commitment to delivering high clinical standards
- Willingness to model best practice and drive Boots’ Healthcare Ambition
- Motivated to grow professionally, completing CET training as required by the GOC
- Ability to travel between stores in the region
