Mobile Electrical Engineer
Location: Newcastle - with regional travel
Hours of work: 41.25
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £45,000
Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide electrical and building services engineering maintenance across a variety of client properties within a designated region.
The role involves fault finding, repairs, maintenance and installation, alongside supporting general building maintenance tasks within your skill set.
We are looking for a proactive and professional individual who can deliver high-quality services, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and maintain strong client relationships while supporting both reactive and planned maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set timeframes.
- Perform fault finding, repair, maintenance and installation of electrical systems.
- Carry out building services maintenance including fabric, HVAC and mechanical tasks.
- Participate in the callout rota and provide timely response to client requirements.
- Undertake contractor control duties, including monitoring workmanship and issuing Permits to Work.
- Ensure all electrical equipment operates to specified performance criteria and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records and complete all administration requirements in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations, including risk assessments and COSHH.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2365, 2357 Level 3 and NVQ 2356 AM2.
- OR City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation and NVQ 2356 and AM2.
- OR City & Guilds 236/2360 in Electrical Installations Part 1 & 2.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS:7671:2018), preferably with A2 Amendment.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Experience
- Experience in electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, maintenance, installation and inspection/testing.
- Proven experience in reactive and PPM building services maintenance.
- Experience working within FM or building services in commercial properties.
- Strong understanding of working under strict Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.
