Mobile Engineer / Developer (Flutter iOS) Newcastle to £120k

Are you a talented Mobile Engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals and a passion for building high-performance applications?

You could be progressing your career at a well-funded FinTech scale-up developing next-generation trading technology. Backed by major investors and partnered with an established Hedge Fund, the business is building a sophisticated investment platform from the ground up and offers the chance to make a real impact as it scales.

As a Mobile Engineer, you'll take a leading role in developing a brand-new Flutter-based iOS Order Management System, creating intuitive, data-rich applications used to monitor markets, execute trades, and visualize complex financial data in real-time. Working closely with a highly talented engineering team, you'll help deliver responsive, high-performance mobile experiences where reliability, usability, and low-latency performance are critical.

Location:

You'll join colleagues in brand new Central Newcastle offices on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday), working hours 0900-1800 with some flexibility.

About you:

  • You have an academic record of achievement, minimum 2.1 at BSc from a top-tier university, Computer Science or similar technical / scientific discipline, backed by minimum A A B grades at A-level
  • You have mobile development experience with Flutter or similar e.g. React Native
  • You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science including OOP, Design Patterns, Data Structures
  • You have a good understanding of financial markets
  • You're collaborative with excellent communication skills
