Mobile Estate Technician

Salary: £36,850+ Excellent Benefits
Location: Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and surrounding counties
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract
Included: Company van plus fuel card for business usage.

Are you looking to join a growing, values-led organisation with a clear social purpose?

At SettleParadigm, we’re proud to be the largest housing group in the region, managing over 30,000 homes across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire.

Everything we do is about delivering excellent services, high-quality homes, neighbourhoods we can be proud of, and maximising the number of new affordable homes we build. Through our merger, we’ve brought together shared values, skills, and ambition, so we can build more affordable homes and make an even bigger difference in the communities we serve.

If you're ready to grow your career in a supportive, inclusive environment while helping to shape stronger communities, we’d love to welcome you on our journey. Together, we’re building a better future.

We’re now looking for practical, hands-on Mobile Estate Technicians to help us deliver high-quality estate services that keep our communal areas clean, safe, and well-maintained for residents.

About the Role

We are now recruiting for our final Mobile Estate Technician to complete our newly mobileised team. You’ll work as part of a mobile team delivering a wide range of estate services, including jet washing, bin cleaning, bulk waste removal, communal window cleaning, and other estate-based tasks.

You’ll travel across our neighbourhoods, ensuring communal spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming. You’ll also act as a visible representative of SettleParadigm, engaging with residents and colleagues while carrying out your duties.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, using equipment and machinery, and taking pride in improving the areas where our residents live.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remove and safely dispose of bulky and hazardous (non-asbestos) waste
  • Operate jet-washing equipment, bin-cleaning machinery, and other estate tools
  • Clean external and internal communal windows up to the 4th floor using reach-and-wash systems, ladders, and manual methods
  • Keep housing land clean, removing graffiti, and maintaining communal areas
  • Complete daily work records using mobile devices, including locations, weights, and job details
  • Maintain equipment, vehicles, and supplies, reporting faults promptly
  • Clear blocked gullies, drains, and stack pipes using jet wash and SkyVac equipment
  • Carry out minor repairs and improvements such as small painting jobs, planting, and signage installation
  • Support resident engagement events and provide basic estate service advice
  • Identify and report incidents of anti-social behaviour, safeguarding concerns, or criminal activity
  • Work collaboratively with other Mobile Estate Technicians and estate cleaning teams
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, following Health & Safety legislation, RAMS, and SettleParadigm procedures

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
