Job Title: Mobile Estate Technician
Job Overview
Salary: Up to £36,850 per annum Type: Full Time (Permanent) Region: UK - East Town/City: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire Sector: Property Services Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am – 4:30 pm Location: Covers Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Buckinghamshire
We have an opportunity for a Mobile Estate Technician to join a mobile team delivering a wide range of estate services, including:
- Jet washing
- Bin cleaning
- Bulk waste removal
- Communal window cleaning
- Other estate-based duties
Travelling across neighbourhoods, you'll ensure communal areas are kept clean, safe, and welcoming. You’ll also act as a visible representative of the organisation, engaging with residents and colleagues while carrying out day-to-day tasks on site.

Key Responsibilities
- Waste Management: Removing and safely disposing of bulky and hazardous (non-asbestos) waste
- Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Operating jet-washing equipment and bin-cleaning machinery
- Cleaning external and internal communal windows (up to the 4th floor) using reach-and-wash systems, ladders, and manual methods
- Removing graffiti and maintaining communal areas
- Technical Tasks:
- Completing daily work records via mobile devices (locations, weights, job details)
- Maintaining equipment, vehicles, and supplies, reporting faults promptly
- Clearing blocked gullies, drains, and stack pipes using jet wash and SkyVac equipment
- Repairs & Enhancements:
- Conducting minor repairs, such as small painting works, planting, and signage installation
- Resident Engagement:
- Supporting resident engagement events
- Providing basic estate service advice
- Safety & Compliance:
- Identifying and reporting incidents (e.g., anti-social behaviour, safeguarding concerns, or criminal activity)
- Ensuring all work adheres to Health & Safety legislation, RAMS, and internal procedures
- Collaboration:
- Working collaboratively with Mobile Estate Technicians and estate cleaning teams

Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (Manual)
- Basic DBS Check (Disclosure and Barring Service)
Note: Preferred but not mandatory: Previous experience in social housing.
