We support industries including pharmaceuticals, food production, catering, logistics, supermarkets, facilities management, scientific research, and home delivery.
As our fleet continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Mobile Fleet Engineer to join our engineering team.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same.
You'll be responsible for maintaining our fleet of refrigerated vehicles, ensuring maximum uptime while delivering first-class support to our customers across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on refrigerated light commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration faults.
- Service and maintain refrigeration units (GAH, Carrier, Thermo King or equivalent experience desirable).
- Carry out LOLER inspections, servicing, and repairs on tail lifts and lifting equipment in accordance with current legislation.
- Provide mobile tyre inspections, puncture repairs, and tyre replacements.
- Complete safety inspections, MOT preparation, and compliance checks.
- Attend roadside breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required.
- Complete detailed service reports and maintenance records.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and reliability standards.
- Work closely with the Operations and Fleet teams to maximize vehicle availability.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while representing the Cool Motion UK brand.

Essential Requirements
- Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Proven experience working on light commercial vehicles.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.

Desirable Skills
- Refrigeration engineering experience (Carrier, Thermo King, or similar).
- LOLER inspection and tail lift servicing experience.
- Tyre fitting experience.
- F-Gas Certification.
- Electrical diagnostic experience.
- HGV licence (advantage but not essential).
