Mobile Kitchen Manager – Permanent (Part-Time) – South West Norse
About the Role
South West Norse delivering an exciting and varied menu on a part-time, permanent basis.
Location: Plymouth and Ivybridge areas Hours: 20h/week (4h/day), Monday to Friday, 9:30am–2:30pm (term time only) Salary: £30,768.63 pro-rata (≈ £14.79/hour), based on 40-hour equivalent
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee and enhance our mobile catering service in local schools, ensuring:
- Delivering a nutritious, healthy, and locally sourced menu for school children
- Managing a small catering team and ensuring on-time, high-quality meal preparation
- Coordinating modified diets, allergies, and sensory needs
- Developing and costing menus while promoting healthy eating
- Input into menu planning to maintain cost-effectiveness and nutritional standards
- Leading operational efficiency with a focus on customer service excellence

Requirements & Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated Food Hygiene Certified professional with:
✔ Proven leadership in fast-paced kitchen environments (organising staff + hands-on food prep) ✔ Cost-effective menu development expertise with a nutrition-focused approach ✔ Relevant food hygiene qualifications and practical application in catering ✔ Full UK driving licence (essential for mobile role)
