Mobile Maintenance Assistant
Mobile Maintenance Assistant – Greater Manchester Police Contract
About the Role
Join Equans – a renowned energies & services contractor within the Bouygues Group – as a Mobile Maintenance Assistant within our facilities team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will deliver essential maintenance, repairs, and cleaning services across Greater Manchester Police stations, including Chadderton Police Station (OL9 9PX).
This is a permanent full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) with a flexible on-call rota (1 in 8 shifts, including weekends).
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Maintenance Manager.
- Undertaking jobs assigned via PDA/mobile devices, including:
- Prompt response to breakdowns, ensuring accurate and timely paperwork completion.
- Routine maintenance, repair, and cleaning duties across the estate, both solo and in teams.
- Manual support for relocations, tidying, and cleaning of estate areas/plants rooms.
- Ensuring cleanliness materials and chemicals are available at all worksites.
- Attending contract-related training and professional development initiatives.
- Operating within Health & Safety procedures.

Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Experience in a maintenance role (preferably with PPM completion).
- Strong customer service and people management skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Basic handy(wo)man skills (fabric repairs, minor fixes).
- Full, valid UK driving licence (necessary for site travel across Greater Manchester).
Certification & Compliance
- Clear GMP vetting clearance, obtainable and maintained throughout employment.
- Evidence to prove right to work in the UK.
