£40,593.78 (total salary, inclusive of standby payment, overtime, and travel time)


An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join our company, working with one of our major UK supermarket clients.

The role will involve:

  • Maintaining and repairing electrical, mechanical plant, and equipment in retail outlets
  • Undertaking regular planned store visits to complete reactive services, Preventative Maintenance (PPMs), and minor repairs (including non-electrical tasks)

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales, ensuring all paperwork is accurate
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance at customer sites, including:
    • Door repairs
    • General plumbing tasks
    • Flooring work (as designated by City Management)
  • Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance
  • Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs
  • Assist with general site maintenance as assigned by City Management and the helpdesk
  • Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery, reporting to the Line Manager with recommendations for replacement

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds 236 (Part 1 & 2) in electrical installation/maintenance, or equivalent
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • AM2 / 2391-20

Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • Full driving licence
  • Experience using a PDA system
  • Ability to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, such as:
    • Commercial ovens
    • Dishwashers
    • Microwaves
  • PPM and reactive maintenance experience in a similar retail environment
