Location & Benefits
📍 Base Location: RAF Fairford 🔹 Contract Type: Permanent, full-time 💰 Salary Range: £42,000–£45,000 (with company car/car allowance) 🔹 Eligibility for Progression:
- The top of the salary band may apply to candidates who already hold AP (Approved Person) tickets. 🚗 Bonus: On-side travel and out-of-hours on-call duty required (full UK driving licence mandatory).
About the Role: M&E Engineer
Are you a seasoned Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer? Can you deliver high-quality technical services with strong safety compliance (JSP375)? We want you.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will focus on:
- Ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of contract obligations while aligning with MoD standards.
- Technical oversight: Leading Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for site teams, partners, and end users.
- Project support: Reducing downtime and carbon-neutral improvements aligned with MoD targets.
- Stakeholder liaison: Advising on Safety-Related Systems of Work, compliance, and best practices.
- Team leadership: Mentoring Skilled Persons and fostering a culture of safe, efficient operations.

- Forming strong alliances with colleagues, military partners, and key decision-makers.
- Supervising, coaching, and ensuring all staff are trained and compliant.
What We’re Looking For
✅ Qualifications:
- Fully qualified Electrical Engineer with an applet set in Electrical or Mechanical (not mandatory, but preferred). We are happy to sponsor training if needed.
✅ Experience:
- Deep expertise in Safety Systems of Work (JSP375), both management and operational execution.
- Proven track record of problem-solving, independent decision-making, and multisite coordination.
- Experience in team leadership, resource management, and site operations.
✅ Accessibility:
- A full UK driving licence is mandatory — this role involves cross-site travel and rotating on-call shifts.
