Mobile Patrol Officer

Mobile Patrol Officer – Now Hiring

📍 Location: Waterlooville

💰 Pay: £13.45 per hour 📅 Hours: 42 hours per week (12-hour shifts, 4 on, 4 off over nights)

About the Role: Mobile Patrol Officer

As a Mobile Security Officer, you will deliver mobile security services and world-class client service excellence across client sites within a designated area. Your role supports protection of people, property, and assets while upholding Securitas core values: Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

You’ll perform tasks such as:

  • Lock/unlock services
  • Escort services
  • Alarm responses
  • Vacant property inspections
  • Patrolling and general mobile services

Guided by the Deputy Branch Manager, you’ll ensure clients’ peace of mind while representing Securitas’s commitment to safety and professionalism.


Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital role in keeping people, property, and information secure. Core tasks include:

  • Security Services

    • Perform lock/unlock duties, internal/external patrols, alarm response, property inspections, and escort services
    • Conduct dynamic risk assessments at client sites
  • Reporting & Compliance

    • Complete accurate incident reports (e.g., break-ins, health & safety issues, road traffic accidents)
    • Record data on GRS/SMP reporting systems with supporting evidence, including photography where applicable
  • Vehicle & Key Management

    • Drive safely in line with the Highway Code and company policies
    • Conduct vehicle checks (start and end of shifts) and manage key usage per strict procedures

  • Client Interaction & Professionalism

    • Maintain a courteous, helpful, and professional approach with clients, colleagues, and team members
    • Display SIA licence and ID at all times
  • Safety & Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with SIA regulations, SOPs, and company policies
    • Protect company assets (e.g., PDAs, dashcams, vehicles)

Qualifications & Requirements

We’re seeking ambitious, initiative-driven individuals who embody Securitas’ purpose. Essential/preferred attributes:

✅ Essential Requirements

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
  • Excellent timekeeping with a strong record of reliability
  • Full UK manual driving licence with proven driving experience
  • Valid SIA Front Line Licence (mandatory for this role)
  • Regulatory checks (Five-Year Disclosure required)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • One year+ mobile security experience (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Lone working experience safely and professionally

🔍 Preferred/Desirable

  • Experience in similar security contexts
  • Ability to work ** versatile hours** (nights, weekends)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Calm under pressure with thrift for client-focused service excellence
