Job Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Salary: £17 per hour
Location: Auchtermuchty, Fife
About The Company:
The company is a growing business in Auchtermuchty, Fife. They are a small but professional team, flexible and customer-centric.
They have a vacancy for a fully qualified & experienced Mobile Plant Engineer based from their workshop in Auchtermuchty.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the main purpose of the role is to carry out a wide range of servicing and repairs to Heavy Plant Equipment, Agricultural and ATVs in accordance with OEM service intervals, supporting customers plant equipment on sites throughout Scotland.
Key Duties:
- Carry out scheduled inspections, servicing, breakdowns & repairs in compliance with manufacturers specifications on plant equipment including and not limited to, Diggers, Dumpers, Excavators, Generators, MEWPS, Telehandlers, Rollers, ATVs and other small plant.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections, diagnose faults accurately on site, use diagnostics, complete LOLER & Thorough Examinations, be able to weld, complete on-line job cards comprehensively & timely and carry out own vehicle checks.
- Carry out all tasks in compliance with the Company’s Environmental and Health and Safety Procedures. Have constant awareness of SHEQ obligations and zero accidents by maintaining a tidy and safe working area.
- Work autonomously on own initiative and as well as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail & work accuracy.
- Effective problem-solver with strong analytical skills.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and colleagues always ensuring professionalism.
- Travel across Scotland.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be suitably qualified and have experience in the maintenance and repair of the same or similar types of plant and equipment and be living within 30 miles of Auchtermuchty.
- Candidates must possess a valid clean driving license and have evidence of any certification and licenses that would be required for the job e.g. NPORS/CSCS/IPAF/NVQ
- 5 years plant maintenance experience (Preferred)
- Live within Fife area/reasonable travel time from our workshop
- 8.5-hour shift (42.5hrs per week)
- Overtime/Saturdays as and when required
